Now Seeking Associates for Spring 2011 Semester

Please see below for our associate announcements for the Spring 2011 (January-May) Semester. We’re looking for 2-3 qualified candidates that fit the following descriptions. Full Time Communications & Partnership Associate

myImpact.org, a non-profit organization which aims to engage more Americans in volunteerism and service, seeks a full-time communications & partnership associate for the Spring 2011 semester to join its team in Washington, D.C.

myImpact.org enhances and extends citizen service programs through social media, specifically an online platform for volunteers to record, share and track their impact online or on their mobile phones.

When selected, a qualified candidate’s job description will be customized to include the following:

·      Administrative responsibilities including scheduling, event planning, correspondence and record keeping

·      Social media management and engagement including Facebook, Twitter and blogging and outreach

·      Partnership building through bi-weekly and monthly updates

·      Special projects to include fundraising, research, writing, presentations

·      Leading day-to-day outreach campaign targeting nonprofit organizations who engage volunteers around the country

The candidate must possess interest, passion and knowledge for and of social media and social change.

Time commitment: 30-40 hours per week. Candidates may be eligible for small stipend. Flexible scheduling. Interns will join an exciting, dynamic start-up organization working at the intersection of the national and community service and social media fields and will gain relevant experience in these areas.
